Gordon Burgett
This is a 2005 audio CD program by Gordon Burgett that finds Gordon explaining orally, for 30 minutes, or in a printed report how an empire builder can test a niche book for some $300-500 before investing huge amounts of time and money into it. If the test shows an eager buyership ready to pay the tested amounts for a new product (in print, an audio format, a product, or other means), then the empire builder creates that item. If not, you saved thousands of dollars! (Just test something else.)
The example used is a book for school leaders called What Every Superintendent and Principal Needs to Know. While the specifics relate to that test, the process is fully explained in such a way that anybody could readily adapt it to their own pre-marketing needs.
First you must understand the concept, then outline the item to be tested. Following that, a flyer must be created, as well as a note to the flyer recipient and a postcard for response. A mailing list is also required. So those elements are the core of Gordon's presentation, in audio CD format or as a report of the same script.
